BorderBetter is designed to work without an account and without asking who you are.
Calculator information
The values you enter are used to calculate your estimate. If you choose to remember vehicle or trip details, those preferences are stored locally in your browser on that device. BorderBetter does not currently require an account or store those saved preferences in a BorderBetter user account.
Google Analytics
BorderBetter uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand general website use. GA4 may use cookies and collect technical information such as pages viewed, approximate location derived from an IP address, device and browser information, referral source, and interaction events.
The calculator sends non-personal event names when a calculation starts, completes, or produces estimated savings or no estimated savings. A calculation-completion event may identify whether the trip was dedicated to gas or already planned. Individual prices, distances, savings amounts and other calculator entries are not sent with those events. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in BorderBetter’s tag configuration.
Your choices
You can limit analytics through browser privacy controls, cookie settings, content blockers or Google’s Analytics opt-out tools. Blocking analytics does not stop the calculator from working.
